Wilson Lake, is located on the Saline River 10 mintues west of beautiful downtown Sylvan Grove. With 9,000 acres of water and 100 miles of shoreline, it is one the most popular lakes in Kansas. Wilson Lake offers outdoor enthusiast many outdoor activities including fishing, boating, camping, sand volleyball courts, and swimming beaches to name a few of the activities available.  
 

Wilson Lake is known for it's abundance of fish and fish varieties. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks stock the lake with millions of fish, including walleye, white bass, small mouth bass, and striped bass. Striped bass, which is anocean native, can top 40 pounds in the lake's salty waters.

Stone Post Country
Sylvan Grove is located in the heart of Stone Post Country. Early settlers to this region solved their building needs and fencing problems with this famed limestone. The rock is still quarried today north of Sylvan Grove by the Vonada Stone Co. . One the areas most recognized landmarks is a double-arched stone bridge, located nine miles north of Sylvan Grove on Highway K-181. It was a meeting place for three different ethnic groups in the settling days of this area.
